It’s the 29th of December 2009, and I’m sitting in my warm living room, listening to the cooing sounds of Lexington Rose as she falls asleep for her nap. She is my daughter, the newness who has taken over our lives and our priorities. The fabulousness. The cries. The milk. The thoughts and prayers. The blessing of it all.
Does everyone fall in love with their child? I have fallen for this little angel. I was ready for her, and am amazed by her, and by the change she brings in me. I am so thankful for her.
I don’t want this blog to be the sappy ramblings of a new mom, but more of a journal of my evolution at this point in my life, and a way for me to write more!!! Writing more is the goal. One must write to be a writer. And if in this journey of writing I capture some enlightened moment or chronicle something meaningful to me, or to Lex, or to someone who reads this, all the better.
